Richard and Michelle’s wedding was the first Hispanic wedding that we have shot. When we first met with them, they (by they, I mean Richard) tried to convince us that Hispanics have a tradition of a burrito toss instead of the usual bouquet toss. I bought it and tried to be as nice and enthusiastic as possible. I was later informed there would be no flying burritos on their wedding day and I was kind of disappointed. I guess it makes sense since we don’t want anyone getting hurt out there.
As seems to be the norm, they kept each other laughing throughout the day. They had their reception at the Lake Quivira Country Club, where we had just shot a couple weeks before. They gave venue a Latin flare this time, and boy their guests could move! Everyone in attendance, it seemed like. There is still a ringing sensation in my ears from all of the piercing trumpet blasts. It was quite a feat as there was only one slow song played in 4 hours. I’m sure perspiration and muscle soreness plagued the guests, but they all had a blast. What a fun bunch of people!
Check out their sweet, October wedding.
Richard was looking all classy in his white jacket get-up.
I thought they were having a nice sweet moment. . .
But they were actually conspiring this.
LOVE this shot Kara got.
Best wishes for a life full of love and happiness guys!
