Johnny and Rachel are very fashionable people and they had a very personal and unique wedding day. They changed their ceremony plans last fall when Rachel’s grandfather passed away from a long battle with cancer. The meaning was more significant when they planned instead to say “I do” on the back porch of his house in the neighborhood where Rachel grew up. It was in the 90s during the ceremony, but at least it wasn’t super humid.
After the ceremony we had some time with the two of them for some amazing portraits. We then came back to the house and they donned traditional Hmong attire to honor Johnny’s native culture. Their reception was at the Berg Event Space downtown, which was the most awesome and modern venue that we’ve shot at yet. So cool! The guests danced the night away to thumping techno beats, which ended the day perfectly. 🙂
