Jesse and Katie put together a fantastic Kansas City DIY wedding on Labor Day weekend. Katie is a designer who really flexed her muscles in crafting the details of the entire day. I can’t imagine the number of hours that went into everything! Girl did the invitations, made her bouquet out of fabric, and designed all of the fun decor and printed pieces at the reception. And everything was phenomenal. They had their reception at the Alexander Majors House, which was a great fit for their small, intimate and hand-crafted day. Of course, catering by Jack Stack is always a great fit, no matter what the theme, right? I loved the way everything came together for the day and obviously it was a treat to shoot. Congrats Katie & Jesse!
Here’s a close-up of her fabric bouquet that she made. I asked Katie if she was going to do a bouquet toss. She said, “Umm, no. I’m not throwing that thing away.”
I was basically obsessed with shooting the strings of lights they had hung.
Katie and Jesse’s wedding was one to go down in the record books as one of the coolest weddings ever! You did such an amazing job of capturing all of the perfect little details from the day:)
