It was a pleasure to get to know and hang out with Katie and Mickey over the past few months. The day we sat down together for an initial consultation, I knew they were going to have a ridiculously beautiful wedding to photograph. They had already booked two of Kansas City’s finest wedding venues—Redemptorist Catholic Church and the reception at Studio Dan Meiners’ Pennway Place. It’s an honor just to be able to shoot in those spaces, so we tried to make the most of it. Everything about the day came together great and it was a gorgeous. Katie and Mickey’s inspiration for the wedding was to keep it really simple and modern, using no color and only black and white for their palette. I’d say that would give your creatives a difficult challenge, but all of the flowers, cake and details came out beautiful. Katie and Mickey, thank you so much for letting us be a part of your beautiful wedding. I enjoyed your tears and laughter when you saw these images more than you know!
