It was a pleasure to shoot Thomas and Kassie’s wedding and to work alongside some of Kansas City’s most talented wedding vendors for the day. I told them when they met with me to look through the photos for the first time, that I don’t remember looking through photos from a wedding and having the couple look so completely relaxed, happy and in love in the photos. It was obvious they put a ton of work into the day, so I’m glad they were able to relax and enjoy the day instead of fretting all of the details. I’m sure a lot of that can be attributed to the help of their wedding planner, Kim Ho of You’re Invited. They had both the wedding ceremony and the reception at the Hawthorne House in Parkville. It’s a fantastic property and it’s so nice when you have all you need for photography within walking distance…even in bridal heels. Erin Volante did a TON of work on flowers for the day, and they came out beautifully, north for the ceremony and the reception space. She gives us so much eye candy to shoot! The ceremony itself was outside, and it was 70 degrees and sunny. Ridiculous! We shot the day alongside videographer Jereme Wilson of Crosslink Productions for the day, and for the reception, Andrea of Classic Cakes created two pieces of cake artwork that not only looked great, but tasted divine as well! Again, I know it was a colossal effort to put the day together, so Thomas and Kassie, we sincerely appreciate you giving us the chance to share everything with you!
