Matt and Carla enjoyed a beautiful wedding day and it was a treat sharing the day with them and their friends and family. Their ceremony was at St. Therese Catholic Church near Parkville and then they had the wedding reception up in Platte City at the Seven Bridges Clubhouse. Both wonderful spots for photos! We took about 10 minutes after dinner to go take some shots at sunset, which turned out just lovely, if you ask me. I was thinking we’d take some around the waterfalls and then maybe a bridge or two (since it was Seven Bridges, after all), and then there it was. A simple, open field with some soft, whispy grass all being softly kissed by the warm, setting sun. Bingo. That’s all we need! I believe we’ve easily shot more gray suits this year than black, and I’m plenty good with that. It fit especially well with the subtle natural vintage feel that they were playing with for the wedding. Just a wonderful day all around. Matt and Carla, best wishes to you guys as you keep getting busier and busier! In the midst of that, may you always remember to take time to stay in love.
