Matt & Stasia had their May wedding on a gorgeous Saturday in downtown Kansas City. Taking advantage of two of Kansas City’s more iconic venues, they had the ceremony at Redemptorist Catholic Church and the reception at the Sawyer Room. Stasia, as I had mentioned before, was twice a bridesmaid in weddings that we have shot, so it was exciting for it to finally be her turn to walk down the aisle in that beautiful white dress (well done, Matt). Of course, the two brides that we previously photographed were now serving as bridesmaids for her wedding, so it was a reunion of sorts for us. We started the day at Silver Screen Salon in the Crossroads where Stasia had her hair done. After that, we finished the final preparations at the Marriott downtown, and Mandy McKenna did a fabulous job with her airbrush makeup (as always). We then took advantage of our prime location and shot photos all around the heart of downtown, even though there were graduations, concerts and all sorts of construction going on all around us.
