We traveled to Des Moines to spend the day with Kevin and Jennifer as they celebrated their wedding amongst family and friends. I appreciated how genuinely in love these two are—they are a perfect fit for one another. Since their love was the main focus of the day, all other stresses and little details seemed insignificant and it was a smooth and perfect day. Their ceremony was at St. Mary’s of Nazareth, which featured a brilliant blue stained glass window as the backdrop for the ceremony. In between we traveled to the Des Moines Botanical Garden, which is where Kevin proposed to Jennifer, so it was a location of significant importance to them. I think it made for some unique and personal photos as well! It was about 80 degrees in there with 95 percent humidity, so now I know what it’s like to shoot a wedding in the tropics. The reception was at the Sheraton in West Des Moines and family and friends got after it on the dance floor all night. Kevin and Jennifer, thank you guys for having us as a part of your big day! We were delighted to see your love for each other and to share the celebration with you.
