We shot Travis and April’s wedding on a stellar November Saturday in downtown Kansas City. Both the wedding ceremony and reception were at the Town Pavilion, right in the heart of downtown. And it was glorious. It was an amazing area to shoot in and we got some sweet city shots of these two that look like they could be for a magazine editorial. We started the day off at the International Hair and Day Spa in Overland Park, where April’s cousin is a makeup artist. From there we spent the rest of the day downtown, in and around the Town Pavilion. The foyer area where the wedding and reception were held is a very majestic space with four floors of balconies and a grand staircase that served as the altar, so we were really digging the dramatic shots we were able to get. The day flowed seamlessly and Travis and April were so kind and hospitable; not only to us, but everyone in attendance. That’s a beautiful thing.
