Wes and Betsy were married in November of 2015, and we had the pleasure of being the photographers for their Kansas City wedding day. They were blessed with amazing weather for the day, but they are far more blessed by the wonderful families from which they come. We really enjoyed the time we spent getting to know everyone and just witnessing the close-knit relationships that were present for the celebration of these two. It was beautiful, and I hope it comes through in the photos.
We started the day at Symmetry Salon for hair and makeup. After that, we headed back to Betsy’s folks’ place to put on the dress and do an emotional first look with dad. It was great! The wedding ceremony was at St. Peter’s in Brookside, where interestingly both Wes and Betsy’s parents got married themselves. The wedding reception was at 2016 Main in the Crossroads of Kansas City, and it was a really clean and trendy setting that I loved. Speaking of loving things, the band they hired for entertainment at the reception (Flashback) was killer. Definitely worth a look if you’re interested in a live band.
