Back on one of the hottest, soupiest days of the year in Iowa, Darrin and Elisa exchanged their wedding vows at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids. It was one of those walk outside and your lenses fog up for 10-15 minutes kind of days. Not ideal! I think we spent a total of 10, maybe 15 minutes outside all day (after defogging, that is) because the heat and humidity were unbearable. All that said, we were fortunate that their wedding reception was at such a beautiful venue—the Paramount Theatre’s Encore Lounge. As such, we were also able to shoot in the famed hall of mirrors. Despite the sauna-like climate, Darrin and Elisa maintained focus on that which is most important—enjoying every moment of sharing their love and commitment with their closest family and friends. With that in mind, I’m positive they still enjoyed the best day ever. Darrin and Elisa, we thank you for having us as a part of your best day ever!
