Travis and Lacy had their wedding on an unseasonably warm June day at Bella Sala, just outside of Iowa City, in Tiffin. Low 90s on June 3rd in Iowa isn’t normal—95 was the record high for the date, and we were riiiiiight there. It still beats the 80% chance of rain we were faced with early in the week though! After starting the day at Virtue Salon in Cedar Rapids, we headed down south, for both the wedding ceremony and reception at Bella Sala. Having all festivities in one location does help to give the day a more convenient flow. Having the ceremony outside on such an unexpectedly warm day wasn’t quite as convenient, but at least Travis and Lacy got to stand in the shade and the bridesmaids got to work on their tan! For portraits with the bride and groom, we had 3 quick stretches of time with them, so that gave us a nice variety in the final portfolio of images (including another really beautiful sunset). We finished the night off having some fun with super smokey sparklers. Guys, thank you for having us photograph and document the happenings of the wedding!
