Corey & Teran’s Hotel at Kirkwood Center Wedding Photos

Corey and Teran had a lovely wedding day and I loved all of the emotion that was present throughout the day. There is just nothing better than happy tears, and there were plenty of those to go around. And happy tears paired with “sparkle”? Now you’re speaking Teran’s love language. Every detail of the day had sparkle of some sort added to it. Early on I asked Teran what her colors were for the wedding, and she said “Black, white and sparkle.” Sparkle indeed. The wedding was not going to be a success unless every guest left with glitter and sparkle somehow attached to their body. Glitter is the gift that keeps on giving, you know?

This was also the first wedding that I have photographed a pair of bridal underwear. At least they were some bedazzled Nike Pros, which made me a lot more comfortable than handling a white thong. Like sparkle, cheerleading is a big part of Teran’s world, so tons of her cheer family were part of the wedding and I’m pretty sure Nike Pros were the general undergarment of choice. You could tell what a close-knit group the cheer community is, so that made things a lot of fun.

We started the day getting ready at Teran’s folks’ place in Walford, before the ceremony at Trinity Lutheran Church, also in Walford. Afterward we traveled downtown for a few photos during cocktail hour, and then eventually made our way to the sparkly reception at the Hotel at Kirkwood Center. The wedding party was a lot of fun all day, and as expected, things turned up even another notch at the reception. The toasts were great, the photos around sunset were sweet, the dancing was fun, the occasional country music was played was average. 🙂 In all seriousness, I felt the love throughout the day between Corey, Teran and their family/friends. These guys love well and it was beautiful. Corey and Teran, thank you guys for being awesome and having us as a part of your wedding day! I hope these photos help you remember what the day looked like, but more so, what it felt like.
