Derek took time off from the busy harvest season to marry his bride Amy as temperatures approached record highs for the day. All weather grumbling aside, I know that all who were involved in the wedding had an amazing time celebrating these two. Koozies were created for the wedding with what I see as being an appropriate motto for the celebration—booze, food and bad dance moves. Haha! We started the day in the couples’ hometown of Fairbank, Iowa getting ready at Visions Salon. The ceremony was at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, also in Fairbank. After the ceremony, we stopped at Derek’s family farm for a couple photos, and then visited a few bars along the way. When the wedding party was adequately sauced, we headed to the wedding reception at the Henderson Event Center in Independence to fully realize that koozie motto. Some beautiful photos at sunset were just gravy at the end of the day. Derek and Amy, congrats on your big day! We appreciate you guys choosing to have us document the day, and we wish you guys all the best for a lifetime of love, happiness and lucrative harvests!
