Justin and Brooke’s New Year’s Eve wedding was on one of the coldest days I think we have ever shot on. Other than traveling a few blocks from their hotel, we didn’t spend anytime outdoors, which is very rare! Our lights got a workout on this day. They had both their wedding ceremony and reception Eastbank Venue and Lounge in downtown Cedar Rapids. And, let’s be honest—if you’re going to be stuck inside all day, getting to photograph at Eastbank is a pretty nice draw. Despite the cold temperatures, it was a really enjoyable day. A fun wedding party, a “lively” reception and a happy and grateful bride and groom can make any day feel like sunny and 75. Justin and Brooke, it was an absolute pleasure partnering with you guys!
