JT & Ashley had their wedding festivities in Iowa City where they met and both went to school. Ashley is the latest of one of our several cousins that are getting married, so if you see a lot of the same people on our blog this year, you’ll know why! We started the day getting ready at Old Brick in Iowa City, where the couple also had their wedding reception. After Ashley was fully bridal, we did a first look outside and then ventured over to the University of Iowa campus for some sweet bride and groom photos. We also trekked over to the Old Capitol for some classic wedding party photos that I think turned out really nice with the nude/beige bridesmaids dresses and the guys’ navy suits. The ceremony was our second consecutive old country church wedding, way out on a gravel road north of Solon! You know I love my gravel roads (insert eye roll emoji). St Peter and Paul is where we were, to be exact, and the couple had a very nice ceremony with JT’s dad officiating. When everyone descended upon Old Brick for the reception, we enjoyed a great dinner, toasts and watching JT’s family tear up the dance floor. My family did not tear up the dance floor. Well, our daughter did. Especially when the Silento’s “Watch Me” came on.
JT and Ashely, congrats to you guys and thank you for having us shoot the wedding for you! We wish you all the best and hope you had the best day ever!
