Tyler and Joelle had their wedding ceremony and reception Ashton Hill Farm, in Cedar Rapids. Tyler, Joelle, and their families love well. I get so fired up about capturing what a wedding day feels like in the photos, and these guys made it easy. I could feel that this day was particularly special and meaningful for all that were in attendance, but especially their immediate families.
We started the day getting ready in the bridal suite onsite, which is light, airy and lovely for photos. It was another hot one on their wedding day, and as we arrived, there was a little debate on whether the outside ceremony was going to happen, but they went for it, and it’s all in the past now! YOLO. No regrets. There was a breeze that helped to make things more reasonable.
After a nice dinner in the comfort of air conditioning, it was nice that Tyler and Joelle allowed us to spend a little more time around sunset for photos, when the light was soft and beautiful, and the temperatures a little cooler. A little. We wrapped up those sunset photos and then quickly headed back indoors where we took crazy photos of people’s best dance moves. Inside, Kara took a moment to show me her goosebumps, which basically meant that the temperatures were perfect for the refreshing comfort of everyone else there.
Tyler and Joelle, it has been a pleasure getting to know you guys and your family! With your hearts, I’m sure that you guys will have blessed marriage for many years to come. We wish you all the best!
