Anthony and Jackie enjoyed a wonderful wedding day at Prairie Moon Winery in Ames, Iowa. They had both their wedding ceremony and reception at the winery, with the ceremony taking place outside after a few showers “watered the property” earlier in the day. Fortunately, the rain didn’t really inconvenience us at all, other than maybe supplementing the humidity that day (ask Anthony’s jacket about that)! It stayed pretty cloudy for most of the day, which was nice in this case, because it afforded us to shoot at all angles in the vineyard. But it did end up clearing off toward the evening, and we were able to get a spectacular sky for the sunset. It was interesting with these particular images, that I actually shot toward some cloud formations that were in the eastern sky, instead of westward (where the sun actually sets, obviously). I think the humidity was creating some extra color in the sky as it tends to do, and the western sky was completely clear of clouds, which doesn’t make for the most interesting sunset photos. Anyway, that’s just me nerding out. Sorry.
You may recognize Jackie from one of our recent posts, as she is also my cousin and sister of Sarah, who celebrated her wedding less than a month before Jackie’s! Talk about a crazy summer for your family! So guys (and Barb), what are you going to do with your lives now that you don’t have any weddings to plan? We all know Steven’s wedding planning isn’t exactly imminent.
Anthony and Jackie were gracious enough to solicit the services of the cutest flower girl and ring bearer team once again (our kids). Maya still thinks those flower petals are to throw on guests in the seats, instead of laying them down in the aisle for the bride.
Anthony and Jackie, we are so happy for you guys! Congrats again, and we wish you guys all the best!
