Patrick and Caitlin enjoyed a beautiful August wedding day, and I’d like to think that everything went flawlessly, other than Caitlin losing her phone. I didn’t ever hear if that was resolved, but hopefully it turned up somewhere!? We started the day with getting ready at Caitlin’s folks’ place, and then made our way to the University of Iowa campus for the couple’s first look and wedding party photos. We explored several different areas of Iowa City throughout the day, but They had their wedding ceremony on a family farm, just outside of town, and it worked out beautifully. The weather was pleasant, the property looked wonderful and Patrick had his vow thunder stolen from Caitlin. The wedding reception was at the University Club in Iowa City, which was a nice space that we have never shot in before. We took some time during the reception to capture a really nice summer sunset across the street, and I think the effort to see that clear western sky was definitely worth it.
Patrick and Caitlin, it was a pleasure to serve you guys and your families! You guys are so easy going and just a treat to partner with. We wish you guys a lifetime of love and happiness together!
