Phillip and Cortney are quite the accomplished twenty somethings, and it seems like their lives have been a bit of a whirlwind lately, with a relocation, travel and lots and lots of hours. They took a break from all that to get married and party with all of their family and friends. A good break indeed! They had their wedding ceremony and reception at the always beautiful Celebration Farm, just outside of Iowa City. The beauty factor was even upgraded a bit on this day, because as far as fall color is concerned, I think Phillip and Cortney may have had the prime weekend of the year at the Celebration Farm, and we certainly tried to take advantage of that throughout the day. One thing I love about photographing people, is that you have the added element of emotion that you can capture in these beautiful environments, so the photos aren’t just pretty, they also make you feel something. On this particular day, there was so much laughter throughout the day that it was easy to see everyone was having a blast. I can’t imagine that not coming through in these photos! And of course, that’s what we are ultimately after—beautiful photos that you can really feel. Phillip and Cortney, we are very happy for the two of you as you embark on this new journey together! We had such a great time documenting your day, and we really appreciate you guys being so wonderful to partner with! We hope you enjoy the photos and that they help you remember the joy of the day.
