Logan & Victoria’s Sheldon Concert Hall Wedding Pictures

May 14, 2019

We traveled down to St Louis for Logan and Victoria’s wedding, on what was a surprisingly beautiful April day. There was rain in the forecast all week, but just like Victoria and I talked about, buying umbrellas for the day will make the rain go away. All this is true, because it rhymes. Okay, so it rained in the morning, but by the time we went out to take any photos, it was a picture perfect day. Logan is next in the long line of cousin weddings that we have photographed, and it’s always fun to gather and celebrate with family as we welcome new people into the family. Logan even managed to put on a happy face despite his beloved St. Louis Blues losing a playoff hockey game right before the start of the ceremony. Hopefully he still sees it as the best day of his life, because after all, the Blues did go on to win the series.

Conveniently, both the ceremony and the reception were at the Sheldon Concert Hall—the ceremony in the concert hall and the reception in the upstairs ballroom. There were no shortage of photo opportunities in or around the venue.

At the end of the day, we headed to the rooftop for a few sunset photos, but HOLY did it get windy up there! I think a cold front blew through about 15 minutes prior to sunset, and we went from about 5mph winds to 30-40mph winds on a rooftop. That was an experience! And it’s a miracle that we have any photos with Victoria’s hair and dress looking halfway normal.

When we came back down to photograph and enjoy the reception, Kara and I had a certain clingy 5 year-old (our son) hanging on our legs for the rest of the night, so sorry if those photos are trash. 🙂 Good times were had by all!
